MG Motor India has rolled out its all-electric Cyberster roadster in the country, with introductory pricing set at Rs 74.99 lakh for fresh bookings. Customers who had secured a pre-launch reservation can get it at a special rate of Rs 72.49 lakh (both prices ex-showroom). Bookings require a token payment of ₹51,000 and can be made either through 13 MG Select outlets in key cities such as Mumbai, Delhi, and Bengaluru, or via MG’s official online platform.

Touted as India’s first electric roadster, the Cyberster currently enjoys a segment of its own with no direct competitors. However, given its convertible body style, the closest alternative in spirit would be the Mercedes-Benz CLE 300 Cabriolet. It gets 20-inch wheels and has ground clearance of 116 mm. The Mercedes-Benz CLE 300 measures 4850 mm in length, 1861 mm in width, 1424 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2865 mm. It gets 19-inch AMG wheels and has ground clearance of 114 mm. The Cyberster is sportier and more compact, with a wider stance and larger wheels, while the CLE 300 is longer and has a roomier wheelbase, leaning more towards comfort.
