A new 48V mild-hybrid system makes its way into the Fortuner 4×4 automatic, along with some new features. All of this comes at an asking price that’s Rs 2 lakh higher than before.

In line with Toyota’s global ambition to reduce the carbon footprint of its entire line-up, the Japanese carmaker has introduced ‘Neo Drive’ variants of the Fortuner and Legender in India. The highlight of these variants is a 48-volt mild-hybrid system paired with the 2.8-litre turbo-diesel engine, aimed at improving fuel efficiency.
